| My name is Jodi and I am the mastermind & confectionary heARTist behind all the magic of Good Vibes Cookie Co. We have created an elevated magical experience that shows food can sparkle with heARTistic flair & still be delicious. Good Vibes Cookie Co was created to elevate the gift giving experience, bringing in all your senses, when gifting or receiving & enjoying our edible heART. Our crystal cookies are baked with sweet intentions creating a vibrational frequency that interconnects our energy by activating the Good Vibes. |
| What inspired you to start your business? |
| The journey to being a SOULpreneur is very unconventional, much like our crystal cookies. I am a single mama of two amazing teenagers who inspired me to create my first crystal cookie over 6 years ago – not for a brand, but for them on Valentine’s Day!! Each and every cookie we hand paint is a little taste of hope, you know that hug reminding you to keep going. I NEEDED THAT for my journey, and I believe it can do the same for you, too! What feels like my business blowing up overnight is truly because of lots of love, hustle, and the organic growth of the heART behind the community that has grown with me every step of the way. Little did I realize that one magical cookie would throw me into the spotlight in publications like US Weekly & The Thrillist & working with outstanding groups beyond my wildest dreams like Levis, Pepsico for the Super Bowl, Jessica Alba for The Honest Company & Goop– and if that wasn’t mind-blowing enough- we have even been featured not once, but twice on the nationally televised The Drew Barrymore Show. Still, to this day, I have pinch-me moments because I get to wake up every day & do what I love! |
| What are your proudest achievements so far? |
| That’s like asking me which kiddos is my favorite- lol!! Everyday something new happens & reminds me how proud I am to have created such a unique product that is so personal to not only me, but everyone who experiences the Good Vibes magic! This month has been filled with so many big wins, as I created boxes of cookies for living legends that inspire me like Joni Mitchell, Imagine Dragons & Danny Elfman, but being on The Drew Barrymore Show & most recently doing Energy Readings with Cookies at Goop’s Corporate Offices was a really HIGH VIBE moment for me!!It literally just keeps getting better and better! |
| What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs: |
| If you don’t start– it won’t happen! So get out of your own way– and keep trying, the right things will always find their way of sticking! |
| Please share a memory or thought about your alma mater: |
| USC has & will always be a great catalyst to who I am still becoming. I was able to nurture my genius in my own unique way with the support of the community. Still to this day I think of the trip I was chosen to help curate an American/Italian Ceramist exhibit in Gubbio, Italy with my ceramic’s professor Karen Koblitz. It was my first taste of what the world had to offer & my gifts that I would give back. Traveling to Europe for the first time, sharing memories that will last my lifetime— I wish I could go back and feel all the feelings over again!! |
