We are a clean label chorizo brand based in Mexico and Southern California. Our mission is to blend health and culture by reimagining traditional flavors in a way that supports modern lifestyles. We believe food is a crucial part of our wellbeing, affecting not only our physical health but also our energy, mindset, and mood. Our packaging is fun, youthful, and unexpected for a chorizo brand, reflecting the fresh and intentional energy behind SOYYO. At the core of everything we do is the belief that better food gives people better tools to set themselves up for success, one meal at a time. |
| What inspired you to start your business? |
| Luck is where preparation and opportunity meet. I always knew I had the tools to build a food brand because I grew up around my dad’s business, but I was never inspired to do it until about two years ago, when the idea came to me like an epiphany. I have always loved to cook and started a meal prep company when I was 17. Eating healthy has always been important to me, and over time I became especially interested in the food and beverage industry from a legal and business perspective. I realized that launching a product would be the best way to gain firsthand experience and truly understand the industry from the inside. That realization led to the creation of SOYYO Foods. What started as curiosity quickly became purpose. I wanted to build something that blended health and culture, honored traditional flavors, and reflected how food plays a real role in our energy, mood, and overall wellbeing. SOYYO is the result of that passion coming together with preparation. |
| What are your proudest achievements so far? |
| I am proud of many things, but what matters most to me is making people smile. Seeing people genuinely happy when they try my product never gets old. Knowing that something I created brings joy, comfort, and confidence around food is incredibly meaningful to me. Today, SOYYO is sold in around 10 retail locations, and our e-commerce platform continues to grow. While those milestones are exciting, I am most proud of having built a product that people truly love and come back for. Beyond numbers or metrics, that kind of connection is what reminds me why I started in the first place. |
| What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs: |
| Start even if you do not feel ready. You will learn more by doing than by waiting for the perfect moment. Be patient with yourself, stay consistent, and do not be afraid to ask questions. Most importantly, build something you truly care about, because passion is what keeps you going when things get hard. |
