Meet UCLA & USC alum Camille Lasker, Co-Founder of Holi Scoops

Tell us about your company:
Holi Scoops is an innovative frozen dessert brand that empowers consumers to live holi(stically) while enjoying life’s indulgences. Having pioneered the perfect balance between clean ingredients, less sugar, and snackable portions, Holi Scoops is bringing joy back to the freezer.
What inspired you to start your business?
Holi Scoops was inspired by both mine and my business partner’s health struggles and love for ice cream. By 26, I had confronted a series of health challenges, including cancer and autoimmune disease, which sparked a personal interest in holistic health and nutrition.
What are your proudest achievements so far?
My proudest achievement is taking the leap into entrepreneurship after business school. While many of my peers pursued the recruitment process, I chose a path that felt incredibly risky and uncertain—I almost let my fears hold me back. But just a month later, seeing our product on a grocery store shelf for the first time, filled me with pride and made all the uncertainty worth it.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs:
Embrace the journey, not just the outcome. Every day brings lessons that build resilience, sharpen creativity, and strengthen your confidence and intuition. No matter where you end up, the entrepreneurial path will challenge and shape you in ways that stay with you for life.
Please share a memory or thought about your alma mater:
Fun fact: I went to the UCLA Lab School for elementary, USC for undergrad, and UCLA for grad school. I’ve truly loved having both Trojan and Bruin pride. I guess you could say I’m living proof that you don’t have to pick sides!
