Meet USC alum Riya Daga, Founder of P1 Skincare

Tell us about your company:
P1 is a 3-step under 1-minute skincare routine that doesn’t require a sink or user’s fingers to touch their face; perfect for using post-workout or on-the-go. The solution features facial cleansing wipes, a facial mist, and a moisturizing stick.
What inspired you to start your business?
I came up with the idea during my time competing as a racecar driver where my face burned from sweat and heat. Wearing fireproof gear in a closed cockpit in the middle of summer, I realized the toll that racing was taking on my skin. During my breaks, I’d sprint to the shower to cleanse my face, but I knew there had to be a better way. That’s when it hit me: the idea for P1, a three-step, one-minute skincare routine to energize and athletic people on the go.
What are your proudest achievements so far?
At about 7 months on the market, I’m proud to have collaborate multiple times with studios such as Soulcycle, Rumble, Dancebody between the Hamptons and Los Angeles. I have also received Instagram shoutouts from Anastasia Soare (founder of Beverly Hills) and Natalie Holloway (founder of Bala bangles).
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs:
Just do it. Do it nervous. Do it messy. Do it scrappy. Results follow motion.
Please share a memory or thought about your alma mater:
Participating in the Troy Labs DEMO Day in 2024 was a special experience as I met to many other Trojan founders there.
