Tell us about your company:
Chara is a better-for-you Greek frozen yogurt brand reimagining indulgence with clean, high-protein, probiotic-rich pints made from real ingredients.
What inspired you to start your business?
During my senior year at USC, I noticed my roommates making Greek yogurt bowls for dessert and saw the frozen aisle wasn’t meeting the demand for America’s favorite breakfast. I set out to create a product with all the health benefits of Greek yogurt that felt like an indulgent treat—reframing diet products as fun and nostalgic, rather than restrictive and unsatisfying.
What are your proudest achievements so far?
My proudest achievement has nothing to do with distribution or retail, but rather the community we’ve built around Chara. As a young, extroverted founder, I’ve always played to my strengths, and that means connecting with people. We’ve hosted countless pop-ups, partnered with dream brands, grown an online following, and created real relationships long before we had traditional retail reach. Transparently, it started out of necessity, bottlenecked by the logistical constraints of a frozen product. But what began as a limitation became our greatest asset. I’m proudest of the fact that Chara isn’t just another product on a shelf. It’s a world that people feel they can step into and belong to from the very first bite.
Please share a memory or thought about your alma mater:
USC will always hold a special place in my heart, where I can’t really talk about my company without bringing up USC—it’s where the idea was born, where I started the business in my senior year apartment, and where I met the people who became my biggest advocates, supporters, and network to grow my brand.
