Tell us about your company:
At 100 Cal Snacks, we focus on the most powerful driver of overall health—the gut–brain axis. When the gut is imbalanced, it sends stress signals to the brain, increasing cravings and disrupting mood and digestion. Our snacks are designed to restore that balance. Each bite is crafted with functional, clinically relevant ingredients—like ashwagandha—to calm stress, support gut function, and naturally reduce cravings. Made with 100% clean, gut-friendly ingredients, every snack is portion-controlled at 100 calories, high in protein and fiber, low in carbs, and free from added sugars, gluten, and harmful additives. We fuel the gut–brain connection with intentional nutrition that delivers satisfaction, stability, and better daily well-being.
What inspired you to start your business?
I didn’t start 100CalSnacks.com because I had it all figured out—I started it because I didn’t. For years, I had the absolute pleasure of dealing with stress-eating, gut issues, weight gain, and anxiety. Add 5 surgeries and 50 extra pounds to the mix, and let’s just say—I got the message. It was time for a change. But as I tried to clean up my diet, I realized most “healthy” snacks were either gut-wrecking or completely joyless. So, I made my own.
What are your proudest achievements so far?
Building 100 Cal Snacks from the ground up and getting it onto retail shelves through resourcefulness and persistence, despite constant capital constraints.
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs:
Start before you feel ready. Momentum matters more than perfection – and consistency compounds faster than you think.
Please share a memory or thought about your alma mater:
NYU was the first place I learned to challenge conventional thinking and trust my own judgment – skills that have been critical in building something from nothing.
